Coffee Lovers

You either love it or hate it. We are coffee lovers in this family and always have a lot of ground coffee beans leftover.

So my next eco project was to make a coffee body scrub using some of the leftover coffee grounds.

Turned out to be an easy project and left my skin feeling great! I love that I knew exactly what was in the product I was using and all the ingredients I had in the pantry at home.

Coffee Scrub

(Makes about 1 cup)
-2 tbs coconut oil
-2 tbs rice bran oil
-1 cup raw sugar
-1/4 cup of coffee grounds
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-5 drops of lavender essential oil (optional)
In a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of boiling water, add the coconut and rice brand oil and stir until ingredients are combined.
Take off heat and allow to stand, until cool to touch.
Add sugar, coffee grounds, vanilla and lavender oil.
Stir until combined.
Keep scrub in a jar.
To use, removed desired amount of scrub and massage into wet skin.
Rinse off.
