Little changes today, make big differences tomorrow.
This year one little change our family is making is eliminating all wrapping of gifts.
So when the first child’s birthday arrived this year I decided I still wanted to make it fun to open presents, even if we couldn’t use paper to hide what we were giving.
So a new McDonald tradition was born - ‘The Birthday Scavenger Hunt’.
I wrote out clues (I know... being a school teacher my chalk writing skills should be better) and Amelia then had to search for her unwrapped presents. She loved it! She also included her little brother in on the hunt and they had a great time together.
Other eco-friendly options to write clues if you don’t have a chalkboard could be: whiteboard & whiteboard markers chalk on driveway or writing in sand or dirt.
